One surprising thing happened right at the end of the day today.
One of my team-mates is from India, working on an H1-B permit. He got a call from a recruiter about a position doing some programming work for the US Navy, but since he is not a citizen, he wasn't eligible for the position... so he hands me his cell phone, with the recruiter still on the line, and says, "Here, talk to this guy."
So we talked, and I sent him my resume, and we'll see what comes of it.
