Ups and downs

Today has definitely been an *interesting* day.

At work, things are now official, the project is dead -- at least until someone decided to revive it again. Shortly before 9:30 this morning, I deactivated the brainchild I've been nurturing for the past 2.5 years. I turned over all of my hardcopies of the proprietary material that we're going to have to dispose of, and will be getting rid of the "soft" copies soon as well. Since I wrote the first lines of code for this project, I'm going to petition them to let me be there when they actually unhook the relevant equipment from the production computer.

On the other hand...

Rhi figured up our taxes tonight. In a nutshell -- Whoof! Uncle Sam is about to make our bank account very happy! 8-)
