NASA is testing some new exploration vehicles for use on the moon and Mars, all controlled by Linux systems.

Okay, so I'm a techno-geek, sue me! But some of the vehicles look quite promising, and I find the fact that they're using open-source operating systems to controll them instead of Windows/Unix/Mac etc to be an interesting change. Of course, given how their budget has been been reduced in recent years worse than an anorexic's calorie count, I can see why they'd do it.
