Well, it looks like I'm going to have to go a bit slower on the progression on my current workouts.

Back in January, Rhi picked up a set of something called "Perfect Pushup" handles for us. They are evil. ::G::

I've been working with them, though. It took me nearly a month to be able to do 20 good ones. Once I got to that point, I figured I could increase by 5 a week. Last week I was able to do 25, and 30 this week... but here it is Friday, and the form on those last 5 still leaves plenty to be desired, so I'll be doing 30 next week, too.

Looks like I'll be adding 5 every *other* week, instead. 8-(

Viva la (orcish) revolucion!

Our gaming group recently finished up going through an old AD&D module called "The Steading of the Hill Giant Chief" -- one of the first AD&D modules I ever played in. The characters are trying to take out a sizable group of (mostly) hill giants, who are also keeping lesser (but still troublesome) creatures inside their Steading as guards, slaves, etc.

The weakest -- and most numerous -- of these creatures were a bunch of orcish slaves. Among other things, they were being forced to excavate an ancient temple site in the caves below the Steading. Needless to say, they weren't too happy about this, and so had started forming a revolution. Quite a few orcs had escaped from the giants, and were hiding out in another portion of those caves.

Well, the characters found out about this, and when the orcs saw that the party was attacking the giants, they decided that the party members were their Revolutionary Brothers/Sisters, come to aid the Grand Orcish Revolution!

And so it was that cries of "Viva la revolucion!" were going up throughout the caves... in orcish... with a bad French accent...

Have I mentioned how much I missed gaming when we weren't living in Memphis? LOL
