What a day
Oh, man. A double shot today.
First, I get told that for all intents and purposes, my current project at work is getting put into cold storage -- translation: it's dead, and I'm getting moved to a new project. Okay, the new project is one that I at least know is a revenue-generator: in fact, it's the main reason why our facility exists. Plus, they *need* someone with my skill set over there, so... it's not too bad, but I would *really* have liked to see this other project actually get deployed. Oh, well.
Then came Kempo class. What can I say except, "Ouch!"
Tonight was Iron Body class, which means we spend the entire class working on increasing our pain tolerances. Fun, huh? Actually, it *is* a lot of fun, even if you're not a sadist/masochist.
Even so, I think the 330 jumping jacks were a *bit* much for a warmup!
Oh, well. It's good to know that on a few of the drills, I can out-do anyone in the dojo, including Sensei. 8-)
Right. Time to get some dinner, and then a nice long soak.
