I'll freely admit, I tuned in to watch the commercials -- and was sadly disappointed! I don't have any strong feeling for either team, but I got in the habit of cheering for Eli when he was QB for Ole Miss, so I rooted for the Giants.

I gotta say, Eli earned his money tonight. That one play were 3-4 Patriots had their hands on him, then he *still* managed to throw a 32-yard pass completion? And hats off to the receiver, because it was way over his head!

Most of the commercials really didn't do much for me tonight. This one, on the other hand, I thought was great -- doubly so since it was run in the 4th quarter.

Yeah, the commercials were pretty "meh", weren't they. My Mom was rooting for the Patriots, but she likes Eli, so that made here happy.

[livejournal.com profile] technoshaman and I deemed that play the play of the game. It was amazing how Eli managed to break free of the sack and equally amazing how David Tyree caught the ball and held it against his helmet as he was going down.

Absolutely!

I had to agree with the commentators at that point, that with a high jump-and-catch like that, Tyree almost looked more like a basketball player than a football player. ::G::

Very good game, though -- hard-fought all the way, and came down to the final (failed) drive.

I rooted for NY sense they were considered underdogs. I'm thrilled they won and that was one fantastic game. As for the adds, I loved the Budweiser one and the screaming animals (tire) commercial.
