To all those who have been sending well-wishes, etc -- thank you very much!

Last week, I got an offer of a position, and was very glad to have it. Today, I finished the last round of interviews with another company, and received a significantly higher offer from them.

What a LOVELY Christmas present! :-)

Unfortunately, the "take this job and shove it" song kind of loses its punch if you play it because you've been let go.

Plus, I work from home, so the only way anyone would hear it would be if I called them, and then only the specific person I called. So probably not.

(Yes, really. Rhi and I sat down and burned THREE CD's of music, labeled "KMA" -- for "Kiss My @ss!" First song on the first CD was Johnny Paycheck's "Take This Job And Shove it!" and I played it for my supervisor. He didn't seem to be a Johnny Paycheck fan... )
