Well, the subject line pretty well sums it up -- it has certainly been an *interesting* day.
I wonder why almost noone remembers the rest of that Chinese curse about living in interesting times? "May all your daughters be beautiful, may all your sons be ambitious, and may you live in interesting times." Now *there's* a curse for you! LOL
On the amusing side of things, I got sent two really strange links:
Lego porn - http://drew.corrupt.net/lp/index.html
Furniture porn - http://www.furnitureporn.com/
Visit them at your own risk.
On the less amusing side, I think the new Office Manager for our facility just made a *really* serious screw-up, and I don't see any way she can back out of it without undermining herself.
Basically, starting Monday, everyone will work one of three shifts -- 7:00 - 4:00, 7:30 - 4:30, or 8:00 - 5:00. Okay, that's not all that bad, except that most of us are programmers, which means two things: 1) that we're accustomed to a bit more flexibility than that, and 2) most of us aren't exactly at our best during the early morning hours.
Unfortunately, I am afraid that most of our team (and I can say with all honesty that we are the elite team in our facility) won't put up with this, and will be gone within 6-8 months. A pity.
Oh, well. We shall see.
