Really slow day at work, so I'm updating my Journal...

Thursday night got fun at class. It was just me and our junior-most student -- literally *everyone* else was out of town on vacation or business that week -- so Cooper-Sensei decided he would use this as an opportunity to evaluate my teaching abilities.

We had fun. 8-)

His initial instruction to me was to take the first 15 minutes of class, and take Mark (the student) through whatever I considered an appropriate workout for someone at his level.

Just over an hour later (class lasts an hour and a half), Sensei finally decided to take over again... 8-)

We rented some movies to watch over the weekend, a typically-eclectic mix for us:
"Searching for Debra Winger" -- an interesting movie, but Rhi and I both got frustrated with the sound quality and the font they used when showing the actress' names on the screen.
"Mona Lisa Smile" -- a revealing look at life in the early 1950's. Don't be surprised if you come out of this one with a better understanding of where your parents 'came from'.
"Matrix Revolutions" -- The third Matrix movie. Not bad, not great.
"Italian Job" -- Good 'caper' movie, including people actually using their brains and being clever.

So... two "chick flicks," two "guy movies" ... and if you think they were picked along those lines, think again! 8-)

Now if only Rhi hadn't come down with that stomach bug.... fortunately, I only had mild symptoms one night, then was able to shake it off. She got a heavier dose, but is doing much better now.
