After far too many moons and WAY too many dollars, I have finally gotten all of the legal paperwork requirements for the dojo taken care of as of this morning!
I could cheerfully beat the living crap out of the two previous owners, who clearly never bothered with such niceties as sign permits, fire code inspections, etc. It would have been nice if the previous owner had tipped me off to this little fact when I took over from him -- at least I'd have had some expectation that I'd have to get lots of work done on the place before it was up to code.
Oh, well.
It's done now, and the last inspector signed the paperwork this morning. And there was much rejoicing!
