I think I'm going to have to really tease some of my dojo-mates tomorrow.
In addition to the classes at the school, we're also doing a beginner-level class at the head instructor's church -- one hour long, every Monday evening, and he asked for any of the regular students who could to please come by each week and help out. With the indication that those of us at the more senior end of the lineup were *strongly* requested to be there... ::S::
During the first class session 2 weeks ago (we were off for Memorial Day), we had 5 students from the dojo there, including myself.
Tonight we had one -- me.
There are three parts about this that bug me.
First, it makes the teacher look bad, that only one of his students showed up to help him.
Second, it means that there's just the two of us, to teach a group of complete newbies. Yes, we can do it, but having more of the experienced folks there means that the students get more "instructor time".
Third, it means that anything the teacher wants to demonstrate, gets demonstrated on *me*. ::G::
To paraphrase that all-time classic movie, "Big Trouble In Little China".... "Sons-of-b!tches must pay!" LOL
