... for people to do things like have their voicemail say that they'll get back to you in one business day, and then take a week to actually return your (multiple) calls.

It's been 3 weeks since my car got hit. I called the insurance company about my claim on Monday, got the aforementioned voicemail saying that I could leave a message and he'd get back to me in one business day, and left the details concerning my call.

Tuesday, no call.

Ditto Wednesday.

I called again Thursday -- same thing.

Called again this morning. If it wasn't for the fact that each day his message stated what day it was and what hours he'd be in the office, I'd have assumed he was on vacation or something.

Finally, this afternoon, I get a call back from him.

We're finally at the stage where I can take my car to a body shop, show them the estimate from the insurance company, and let the body shop order the parts. Then once the parts are in, the body shop will call me back to let me know to bring the car in, and I get to call the insurance guy again to arrange for them to provide me with a rental car.

I wonder how many times I'll be told he'll get back to me in one business day before that gets taken care of?

Sorry, just frustrated.
