I don't think I've heard either of these since my family moved out of our first house when I was 9.
Between that, and this slightly-more-historically-accurate one, I like to think there is still some hope for us still.
I'll be the first to say that there are times when you have no other recourse, when your choices are to attack with every weapon at your disposal, or you'll be the one fitted for a pine box... but part of me needs to believe that, if given a chance to do so, we as humans will try to find peace -- especially at this time of year.
I truly believe that there is magic in this season, no matter what name you choose to give it. May that magic find you and yours this year, may you share it with those around you, and may you find them sharing with you the magic they've discovered as well.
