Late-night thoughts, proceed at your own risk...

“Every flower must grow through dirt.” – Laurie Jean Sennott

An interesting observation. I recently came across another one related to this, that basically pointed out that flowers don't have any dirt on their petals.

Think about that for a moment.

The flower sprouted from a seed encased in dirt. The first part of its life was literally nothing but fighting to push through that dirt.

And then it does something incredible.

It uses the dirt for nourishment and strength, but doesn't let the dirt keep covering up its most beautiful, most productive parts. The flower doesn't deny that the dirt exists, doesn't try to pull its own roots out of the dirt... but it doesn't let the dirt diminish the blossoms, either.

How silly would it be to consider a flower "dirty" because it came through dirt?

There's no dirt on the flowers, even though the flowers came through the dirt.

If a simple flower can do that, shouldn't we at least try to do it, too?

To paraphrase a certain gentleman I respect highly: Thanks for listening. Now, go bloom.

Very astute observations.

Yes. And it's so ... narrow-minded.
