As I mentioned in this post, I am working on a means of taking my own resistance to the nasty part of the martial art I study and using it to make someone else resistant as well. The very good analogy that [livejournal.com profile] radarrider mentioned was of doing something similar to the Enterprise extending its shields around another ship.

During last night's class, I got to try one of the means I had come up with for doing this. Unfortunately, it didn't work. 8-(

I still have a couple of other techniques that I want to try, but [livejournal.com profile] mzlizzy, I hope you haven't gotten too far in designing that superhero costume for me. ::G:: And I completely agree with Edna Mode -- No capes! (although a nice full-circle cloak can be lovely in wintertime!)

Ah well, I'll just have to shelve the plans for later. For Rhi's sake I'll just say it involved tight pants and lots of skin. (hmmm, maybe I should finish sketching it out and send the sketch for Christmas.)

Cloaks are great in winter, you just have to remember to make them short enough so that they don't drag in the slush come spring, and to double check that the whole thing is in the car *before* you shut the door.
