Big news!

I know that lately I've asked various of you for good vibes, etc. without specifying why. Well, now things are to a point where I can specify.

GryphonRhi and I have a contract on a house in Memphis, and will be moving next month!

I will still have the same job for the same company in Nashville. However, insted of going in to sit in a cubicle in their building every day, I'll be working remotely from our new home in Memphis.

Needless to say, things are going to be a little hectic for a while, but things have progressed to the point where we felt we could let people know.

To all those who've sent good vibes, flogged the sacramental hamsters, spun the prayer wheels, etc. -- thank you!!!

Oh, I don't know -- the other one wasn't bad, once we came to an arrangement with the "previous tenant."

Once they stopped turning on the faucet in the kitchen, it got a lot better. And at least they'd turn it off again!

For those who don't know what we're talking about, the last house that GryphonRhi and I had... had never been completely vacated by one of the previous tenants. Periodically, we would hear footsteps go through the dining room to the kitchen, the kitchen faucet would turn on (pretty close to full-blast), run for a few seconds, then turn off again.

After one of these episodes, GryphonRhi just looked up and said, "Will you PLEASE stop doing that???"

And they did. To the best of my recollection, it never happened again.

So... slightly annoying, but certainly better than many other "house spirits" I know of!
